A musthave for any Sheena fan!īest Kept Secret is certaily one of Sheenas best and is one the most consistant albums of her career. The rest of the album is great too, especially "Best Kept Man", "I Like The Fright" and the remixes of "Telefone". This album features four remarkable singles, "Telefone" #9-billboard, "Weve Got Tonight w/ Kenny Rogers" #6-billboard, "Almost Over You" #15-billboard, and "Devil in a Fast Car #79-billboard. This is #3 in my top three favorite Sheena albums, just behind Do You and A Private Heaven. and apart from this track, her vocals were criminally under-used !! Sheena desperately needed to find her next "stepping stone" and also employ some new writers & producers. Sheenas duet with Kenny Rogers one of the bonus cuts was again overlooked in the U.K. hit Telefone is better in its extended form, but the overall feel of the album is dated. I would suggest that this is her weakest album, the minor U.K. This release at the time, seemed to point to Sheenas adoption of an American style, but in the transfer, she seems to lose direction.
